MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of ROSES is to empower women, in various stages of their lives that are seeking personal growth through venues that provide motivation, awareness, and mentoring.
Our mission is to build intentional relationships by:
- Widening our circle of friendships among women within the church.
- Spending purposeful time with women from neighboring churches
- Serving God by using our gifts for the benefits of others.
- To strengthen women by:
- Spending time in the word of God
- Entering the word of God in our conversations when we are together.
- Prioritizing time for sharing and reflection.
- Encouraging women to participate in small/large group activities.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To encourage women to fulfill their call to a God given ministry of discipleship, stewardship and servant leadership via networking, teaching, mentoring, workshops and conferences.
VISION STATEMENT
A woman’s self-esteem, self-image, and self-confidence are greatly enhanced as she learns her purpose, her various gifts, talents and abilities. This in turn makes her a better mother, wife, sister, and friend.
Our life is a reflection of our attitudes and therefore having a new attitude will invariably create new results. Thus, it is our mission to minister to women to help them develop new attitudes toward their circumstances and to help them rise above them.
The rose is a symbol of beauty, love and desire. Likewise, we believe that ALL women are beautiful. The thorns, however, remind us of things that are beautiful, and yet have some hurt attached to it. We believe that this ministry is designed to encourage and empower women to love themselves and each other. We also expect to witness the healing and deliverance of our sisters as God ministers to their brokenness. This ministry’s basis is love and how Christ has shown his love for all people (John 3:16). Although this ministry will focus on the women, it will not in any way slander, belittle or attempt to weaken the men of God. Instead, its purpose is to encourage others as we are encouraged.
